South Creek Studios is run by me, Mike, with a passion for creating beautiful, functional, and durable pieces that are 100% handmade one at a time. While customers of all kinds enjoy my work, the earthy colors and rustic shapes in particular make great gifts for men. I believe that taking the time to interact with unique handmade objects in day-to-day life can put a spark in the routine, bringing creativity to your everyday. Handcrafted pottery and wood products are a great way to connect with the earth, and to gift that connection to the ones we love. I have a background working in production-style pottery studios making other peoples' work. One day, an old-school potter told me that, "your body only has so many pots that it can make before it breaks down: so stop wasting it on other peoples' work". I left shortly after, and committed to myself that I'd only make things that I like. My work reflects favorite parts of my daily routine, mostly revolving around eating, drinking, and cooking!
