At Soan, we believe self-care should feel like a return to nature—grounded, intentional, and restorative. Rooted in Korean beauty rituals and East Asian botanicals, Soan (소안) is a pure Korean word meaning “simple and beautiful.” This philosophy guides everything we create. Soan was founded by two Korean sisters who immigrated to Canada as teenagers. Growing up between cultures, we often found comfort in the quiet rituals passed down through generations—like rice water skin rinses, herbal soaks, and the earthy dried mugwort tea in Spring. These traditions became acts of grounding and care in a world that often felt unfamiliar. Today, we continue to draw from those memories to create gentle, sustainable products that honor our heritage while meeting modern needs. Handmade in small batches in Surrey, BC, our collection includes cold-processed soaps, soy coconut candles, herbal bath soaks, and natural bath bombs. We use plant-based oils, fine-grain powders, and toxin-free fragrances to craft sensory rituals that support skin and spirit. Soan’s formulas are mostly vegan, palm oil-free, and made with ethically sourced ingredients. With recyclable packaging and a minimalist design, each product is made to nourish the body and reconnect you to nature—with simplicity, beauty, and intention.
