About Harold's Pickles

How did Harold become the name everyone trusts when they are looking for great tasting pickles? Well dear reader, each jar of pickles, olives, & okra has its own origin story. This is ours. To get to know Harold we first must know Frances. Frances Cowley was a sweet mother and grandmother who made some of the best pickles in the world. So wonderful that her children and grandchildren coveted the recipe like that of ancient treasure. Friends of the family would feel blessed to receive a jar of the FC’s dill pickles during the holidays. Her youngest son took the steps necessary to commercialize the family recipe. Ensuring that no shortcuts, chemical substitutions, or junk was added to these pickles. Knowing that people love dill pickles and spice, FC’s youngest son built upon the family recipe to expand the pickles line with spice and flair. His good buddy Harold set out to help spread the word of these Texas Made marvels! He was helping share the pickle gospel he fell into the position of being a man everyone trusted, wanted to chat with, enjoy a beer & pizza with. Harold, the man, became The Pickle Man! Today, the granddaughters of Frances are the ones keeping her name, recipe, and all around kind hearted reputation alive.
