My name is Breelyn Vanleeuwen. I am the founder and CEO of Daily Shade Sunscreen. I am also a Mom, and a Physician Associate (PA) with a passion for enjoying the sun safely. This company was started after my daughter had a terrible reaction to a chemical sunscreen from a very popular baby sunscreen brand. Once I learned the dangers of chemical sunscreens I exclusively started using 100% mineral sunscreens BUT there was a HUGE problem...every single one (all 55 brands I purchased) made them look like little ghosts running around (I know you all know exactly what I’m talking about). AND I was shocked to find so many dangerous and unwanted ingredients in children's sunscreen. When I couldn't find anything close to what I needed, I decided to create one!
