autumn + tree was born and made by Aki Foreman in 2017. She lives in the U.S. but is originally from Japan. Growing up she always admired how beautiful decorative Japanese papers were. In 2016 her grandmother gave Aki her large collection of Japanese Chiyogami and Washi papers that she collected during the 70's, 80's and 90's in Japan. Soon Aki was obsessed by the beauty of the papers and started making jewelry with them, along with new additions to her collection. She also loves Lokta paper from Nepal and marbled papers from UK, Brazil and the US.Read their story
