About Shale Hollow Farmstead LLC

Diane is a 15+ year seasoned homesteader in Pennsylvania, and the proud mom of two Eagle Scouts. She and her family have registered Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats, chickens, two barn kittens, and a rescue horse in addition to their large garden. Several years ago, Diane began creating luxurious lotions (body butters) and officially formed Shale Hollow Farmstead. Because of family skin sensitivities, Diane had been making limited-ingredient soaps for many years. Supporting sustainable, local producers and creating small batch, often customized products is a major part of their focus. Each of our products are made on the farm, from scratch. We don't use soap or lotion (or lip balm) bases, allowing us to choose the highest quality and local ingredients whenever possible. In their free time, Diane and family love to go backpacking and see new places, or hang out with the goats. She also loves to read, knit, spin fiber (though still a beginner with a very quirky wheel) and forage through the woods.
