About Milenico

Milénico is the project of two brothers who produce organic wines in the Spanish denomination of origin Ribera del Duero, in limited series of Tempranillo (Tinto Fino) wines. Our belief is that wine is made in the vineyard and that minimal intervention helps to better express the original variety of the wine, the place, and the vintage. We cultivate our own family vineyards, mostly planted in the 1990s, although we also care for older vines (50 to 100 years old) at altitudes between 800 and 900 meters, usually on sandy and stony slopes, with good ventilation, low yields, and organic farming, which for us essentially means seeking the most natural and healthy product possible. Our grapes are hand-harvested and vinified in 2500-3000 liter vats with spontaneous fermentation using native yeasts. All our wines have scores between 90 and 93 points from different critics in wines ranging from unoaked to two years of aging (in French oak barrels) followed by bottle aging, which gives them greater complexity and elegance. We currently have an international presence, mainly in Europe, essentially oriented towards a premium clientele in stores, restaurants, and the corporate gift market.Read their story
