We started this company in 2019, looking for products that we could read and understand the ingredients list. Having had super dry skin, nothing from major retailers was working, so we took matters into my own hands. Using google to look up different ingredients what they mean and what they do, we found out a lot of products have bloat ingredients, things that aren't actually NEEDED! The same stuff over and over again, some things that just add thickness paired with something else that just added more thickness. Sometimes the combination of all that thickening can cause skin irritation. So we decided to make some stuff at home. The first bar of "SOAP" I made was with Shea butter, Lavender petals and coconut oil. I melted it all together poured it into a mold and called it soap. A slip and slide in the shower later I realized yeah it just oil LOL. Finally after long research and many recipe attempts, we made and actual bar of soap and with only a FEW ingredients and it was wonderful, It worked and most importantly it did not irritate my skin. So that's where the name comes in Own It Soap Company (O.W.N.I.T) means "Only What's Needed In This". Please enjoy the many products we have made that only have what's needed in them!!!
