About Jayney Mac

I'm Jane Mc Carthy, the designer-maker behind the brand Jayney Mac. I am based in my home studio in Co.Cork, Ireland. I create a collection of handmade colourful joyful jewellery. Each wooden item of my original designs is lasercut, hand- painted and coated with a resin glaze. My work is inspired by nature and a love of colour and pattern. The lightweight wooden jewellery is made from sustainable FSC certified birch plywood. I also use shrink plastic to create my range of fun animal earrings. Having worked as a graphic designer, I started creating items for friends and family, and then expanded into making earrings and brooches from original designs. I sell online and I'm stocked in over 10 retailers in Ireland.Read their story
