Born from Caribbean roots and nurtured in the United Kingdom, our purpose is to bring the vibrant spirit and flavour of the islands to the world through our beloved Kurma treats. Founded by Rachel and Kezia, two sisters with deep Trinidadian heritage, Chungums began as a way to honour the recipes and memories that filled their childhood with warmth and laughter. The name “Chungums” reflects the playful language and affection of island life, reminding us that food is about connection as much as taste. Each batch is carefully made using natural, high-quality ingredients, inspired by family traditions and crafted for modern, mindful living. Our treats come in two varieties: Classic (vegetarian) and Plant Based (vegan), both free from unnecessary additives and packaged with care for the planet. With a tempting range of sweet and savoury flavours, our Kurma celebrates the richness and generosity of Caribbean food culture.
