Sara Wilczynska is a San Diego-based watercolor artist and illustrator. After over a decade in software engineering — most recently at Google — she transitioned from Big Tech to full- time creative work, founding Swil Arts: a studio that brings gentle charm, personality, and storytelling to the little moments that make life beautiful. Sara’s artwork blends expressive ink lines with fluid watercolor washes, often illustrating landmark and architectural portraits, local flora, and the kind of things people overlook until they’re painted. Her pieces are shaped by her global travels and Polish heritage, and reflect a sensibility that’s both poetic and grounded. Since launching Swil Arts, Sara has collaborated with retail and hospitality brands on art for merchandise and custom products, including commissioned work for La Valencia Hotel in San Diego, as well as original artwork for on-site display. Her collections include original paintings, fine art prints, and thoughtfully designed stationery and home décor featuring her artwork. A former yoga teacher and software engineer, Sara brings an intentional, grounded approach to creativity.
