About The Owner... Raised on a steady diet of 70s and 80s music, movies, pop culture, and questionable fashion choices, the founder of Emerald Coast Needlepoint Laine has spent her entire life collecting stories, laughs, and one-liners worthy of being stitched onto something. Her superpower? Making people laugh and feel like they've known her forever. After more than 40 years of needlepoint, storytelling, and countless "stitch and bitch" sessions with friends, family, and complete strangers who quickly became friends, creating Emerald Coast Needlepoint felt like the next logical (or delightfully illogical) step. Her needlepoint journey began when her mother finally reached the end of her rope with an exceptionally busy child and handed her a needle, thread, and canvas. Whether it was an act of love, survival, or both, it worked. She quickly learned to create her own designs and has been stitching pieces that make people smile, laugh, and occasionally snort ever since. These days, she calls Florida's Emerald Coast home—a place that first entered her story as a spring break destination and the setting where she had a "spring break fling" whom then married 4 years latter, then a favorite family vacation spot, and eventually the place she was lucky enough to call home. Somewhere between the beach days, the laughter, the stitching, and a lifetime of collecting funny ideas, Emerald Coast Needlepoint was born. And honestly, it was about time.❤️Read their story
