About RSS Distributors

RSS Distributors began in 1967 as a rental store buying co-operative among several members of the the Keystone Rental Association in order to buy from manufacturers at dealer quantities and prices. Eventually, five of the members formed a partnership under the name R and A Distributors. In 1972, the partnership was incorporated as Rental Service Supply and in 1974, the business had grown enough that a warehouse was rented in Leola, Pennsylvania. The company continued to expand and when the owners realized that it was taking too much time away from their rental store operations, they decided to sell. Jim Miller and Bill Peters bought the business in 1994 and operated it under the name RSS Distributors. Peters soon left and Jim's brother Mike joined in. Land development constraints made it impossible to expand any further in Leola, and in early 2002, RSS Distributors moved to its current location in Manheim, Pennsylvania. Today, RSS Distributors continues to grow as a family owned business. Mike's son Josh is now President, Jim's son Tony is CFO, and Josh's wife Heather are all involved as the company moves beyond its core rental store market to encompass all segments of the special events industry and retail. Future expansion is anticipated by maintaining our superior customer service and providing quality products at competitive prices. Read their story
