About MAI FASHION

Strick Zella, founded in 1920 as the “LEONARD MAI knitwear factory”, is a traditional knitwear manufacturer. The labels MIA MAI (women's fashion) and LEONARD MAI (men's fashion) are dedicated to local production. The entire production - from knitting to sewing to packaging - is in the hands of the manufactory in Zella (Thuringia, Germany). As raw materials, we use high-quality merino, cashmere and viscose yarns from Italy or our innovative lyocell fibers made in Thuringia. This ensures a close connection between individual, modern design and experienced craftsmanship. Knitwear from Strick Zella is characterized by special knitted details and innovative additions such as heating or lighting. Sustainability and fair production have always been self-evident components of Strick Zella in the MAI MAI and LEONARD MAI labels. This applies both to sustainably produced yarns such as organic cotton or TENCEL and to a repair service that we offer our customers. For us, however, sustainability primarily means longevity of the products due to high-quality workmanship. Read their story
