About Gender Games

The scale of the #Metoo and #BalanceTonPorc movements has shown: the feminist struggle is under fire more than ever spotlights. However, inequalities remain numerous. Through my militant career, I quickly realized that awareness-raising work could be complicated and exhausting. The idea of a feminist game then came to me, to propose a new way of approaching feminism. In addition, board games are back in fashion for 20-35 year olds. Playful and accessible, they can also be a gateway to discussions. Now, if some feminist games for children had already been created, there was no feminist “evening game” on market. The aim was also to offer entertainment to feminists who, like me, are tired of games that use sexist, racist and homophobic logics to make people laugh.
