Victor is a feline dental specialist and is Founder of Inventor Cat. He believed there had to be a better way of brushing cats' teeth; a way which doesn't put strain on the bond with your cat; a way which is enjoyable and stress-free; most importantly, a way that prevents periodontal disease. 85% of cats in the UK over the age of 3 suffer from periodontal disease. This is because traditional toothbrushing requires cooperation from the cat, technical ability from the owner and motivation from the owner. All of these factors are interdependent and thus often results in the owner attempting to brush their cats' teeth and never doing it again or; never trying for the fear of being hurt. Home care must be cat friendly. For the past two years with the help of some individuals from International Cat Care we have made the Dental Wand. The Dental Wand is patent pending. It is a wand toy specifically designed to brush cats' teeth. It works off your cats' instincts and ensures positive associations are created when brushing, therefore increasing your feline bond. The Dental Wand also ensures cooperation from the cat and requires no technical ability from the owner.
