About Diana Dawn

Living and working out of the small desert mountain town of Bisbee Arizona, Diana Dawn's art is as much for therapy as it is for livelihood. As a veteran of the US Air Force, Diana is well traveled, disciplined, and meticulous, while her art reflects her studies in printmaking and color theory as well as her passions for nature, southwestern art, and vintage design. Since her departure from the military in 2015 she has dedicated her life to art. First working in hair and makeup for film and fashion, then experimenting with leather handbag design, she found her way to the hat world as a seamstress at a custom hat shop in Santa Fe NM that has been in operation since 1976. After pursuit of an art degree was derailed by the covid pandemic, Diana combined her accumulated skills into this niche craft of hand finishing and embroidering on felt hats she designed and has manufactured. Diana Dawn hats are heirloom quality wearable keepsakes.
