About Anna's Healthy Hummingbird
Named after and inspired by Anna's species of Hummingbirds. In January 2024, the temperature in Washington state was a freezing 4 degrees F outside and I had to change the nectar in my glass hummingbird feeder every 3 hours. I happened to have a stainless-steel water bottle in my freezer at the time, and the liquid was not frozen. This gave me the idea to design an insulated hummingbird feeder using vacuum insulation technology. I emailed back and forth with a manufacturer and tested prototypes. When the final sample came, it was beautiful, and the design was so different from typical hummingbird feeders. I found that the hummingbirds used it right away. It is also so easy to clean. I have one hanging outside my kitchen window and one sitting on my porch railing and the hummingbirds use both. I plan to use it year-round as it is also useful during heat waves to delay nectar from spoiling.

We have been selling these feeders since the middle of December 2024. In less than a year, we have sold over 175 at our Wild Birds Unlimited store, and we have had wonderful results. Our staff uses them summer and winter, and our customers remark at how easy they are to clean and use. They really do keep the nectar healthy and available for our non migrating Anna's when it freezes here in Washington state. They are attractive, but more importantly, they are utilitarian! Great seller.
