About Life is Rosie

Rosie the Reindeer was born out of our author Megan Rogers' love for all things dance, cheer, acting, choreography, performing, and creative writing. As a dedication to her late mother who passed due to an autoimmune disease and cancer, Megan used Rosie to inspire children all over the world to follow their path and find their shine! Megan’s first self-published work "Rosie Finds Her Shine," derived from a show her dance studio performed in 2011, tells the tale of a little reindeer who journeys through self-doubt as she navigates comparison. It seems all the other reindeer in the North Pole know what they want to do, like the most common job of working with Santa’s sleigh. Rosie finds the courage to follow her own path and this helps her discover that she shines in her own special way. The book debuted in the Fall of 2021 and has received stellar reviews and three book awards: The Purple Dragonfly Silver Medal, Creative Child Awards Book of the Year 2022, and Mom’s Choice Award Gold Medal.
