Hello, My name is Misty, I am mom to 3 boys. An Army wife, married. In 2019 we moved to Denver CO from Sacramento CA moving in with family, when things became strained. In October of 2019 my family and I for the first time ever experienced homelessness. My husband was working and we had money but we were drowning in debt from the move and several setbacks. Working was not really an option as paying child care in itself would be too expensive. After many set backs including an apartment who said we definitely qualified to being told we have the "potential" to go over the income limit to finding another apartment who said we needed a CO signer that makes over 5k a month. We finally were able to find an apartment that worked out...meanwhile my husband had found a job that paid pretty well and Covid hit. The job laid him off and said they would call when they had openings. He collected unemployment and we started to struggle again he never did get hired back at the job so we had to find him a new job. I refused to become homeless again so I started making clay items for a hobby I love --diamond painting. Branching out further I started making clay earrings. Then I decided to try resin art and making resin dominoes. I absolutely love creating things, especially custom/personalized items that make people feel special! As a person with a unique name I wanted to offer personalization so someone can see their names on things too!!Read their story
