About Emma Purdie
HAND PRINTED INTERIOR TEXTILES THAT HAVE A VIBRANT AND PLAYFUL APPROACH TO COLOUR AND PATTERN My designs are inspired by both the urban and natural landscapes that surrounds me. I love to take photos, draw and capture marks, textures and patterns found in natural forms and architecture. One of my favourite things to do is to sketch and photograph the beautiful hedgerows and wild flowers that grow around Devon and Cornwall, you can often see these floral influences in my work. My recent collection of printed textiles uses traditional screen print techniques and mixes floral motifs, ferns and wild flowers combined with my love of abstract mark making, texture and contrasting patterns.
