When I was growing up I was dressed in hand me downs that still looked great, they were colourful and comfortable. I wanted to recreate this when starting Milly'O and also wanted to make sure that everything was produced in the UK. I think it is so important for kids to stay young for as long as possible and a great way to do this is to dress them in fun, bright and innocent clothing. Growing up in the Somerset countryside which I loved, I am now lucky enough to be bringing up my own children here and am especially inspired by the local wildlife, you will see this comes across in many of my designs. A favourite of mine is the 'woodland animals' range. My fabric designs are all printed in England. Here at Milly’O it is important that children’s clothes are machine washable, easy to wear, easy to look after, comfortable and of course can be handed down to family and friends (the reason this started). I keep these things in mind when creating my collections.Read their story
