About Premadasa

My business is called “Premadasa” which is a Sanskrit term loosely interpreted as a devotee to love or one who serves others with compassion. Within that same spirit, I hope to bring a touch of connectivity, empathy, and beauty into the world through my artwork. My breadth of work focuses on utilitarian earthenware using commercially sourced clay and glaze. I also enjoy creating original linocut prints and for both mediums I like to incorporate elements of nature and geometric pattern, paying particular attention to various techniques of surface design and print application on clay. Most respite for me comes in the form of camping and hiking throughout Colorado during the warmer months where I sketch and photograph the scenes to take back into the studio for inspiration. Without reproach nature, like art, has the infinite ability to heal us on both a metaphysical and physical level and I always wish to capture that essence within the canon of my visual work and in life.
