BEROÏA is above all a family history that began in 1895 in Syria in the family soap factory of Mr Manar NAJJAR, current CEO. Manar NAJJAR arrives in France for his medical studies where he meets Mrs. Catherine Elia-Najjar. From this Franco-Syrian history the NAJJAR laboratory was born 25 years ago now. First, an import-export company of hard and liquid soaps from Aleppo made in Syria, then a production laboratory where many formulas and cosmetic products have been developed while continuing the import and export of Aleppo hard soaps “made in Syria”. Aleppo soap is exclusively made with olive oil and laurel berry oil, a natural product that enjoys geographical indication protection in Syria. “As real Marseille soap is made in Marseille, real Aleppo soap can only be made in Aleppo and its region” Manar NAJJAR.
