I started ByLulä after looking for beautiful home decor and candles that didn't cost the earth were vegan, cruelty free and ecofriendly. ​ After learning about the methods used in making conventional paraffin wax candles which usually entail bleaching dioxin; texturized with acrolyn (a known carcinogen); and then mixing it with animal-based stearic acid (a byproduct of the meatpacking slaughterhouses) to harden it so that it can be made into candles, I thought I would venture out and create Lulä. ​ In Tirgrinya Lulä means abundance, and I hope to create abundantly beautiful products inspired by more natural means.Read their story
