About Early Days & Baypods

Early Days was founded by 2 young brothers Tony and Michael Bolton in 1952 making shoes in their childhood home. Their shoes were an immediate success and they bought their first factory in 1954, Michaels 2 sons Paul and Chris joined the business in the 1980's and continue to run the factory to this day. Early Days have been manufacturing baby shoes for over 70 years under their 2 brands Early Days and Baypods. A family business based in Leicestershire the company prides itself in producing quality footwear at affordable prices backed up by quick delivery times. The company is very fortunate to employ a highly skilled workforce many of whom have been with them for over 40 years. Early Days and Baypod shoes have always been designed with comfort and fit being the main priority. All shoes are manufactured on a generous "F" fit last with beautifully rounded toe shapes to ensure there is plenty of room for babies toes. Absorbent linings and padded insoles feature in every pair of Baypods and Early Days shoes. In 2013 on the family visit to Australia and New Zealand Prince George wore style Alex leather pre-walker and continued to wear this style until he required walking shoes. Princess Charlotte followed this trend by wearing style Emma in various colours and then Prince Louis completed the story by wearing style Alex the same as his brother.
