About Blue Springs Mercantile

Blue Springs Mercantile first opened it's doors on May 23, 2020. The building itself has a history that goes back to 1920s, when Blue Springs was "the great summer resort" as newspapers called it. Just shy of 100 years later though, the building had been abandoned, foreclosed, and sold at a government auction for taxes before it ended up in our hands. We bought it in August of 2019 and began the long journey of bringing it back to life. We cleaned. We rewired. We plumbed. We painted. We repaired the roof. We did it all, and mostly by ourselves. There's not a surface inside or out that we didn't touch. We've taken that same drive and passion, and put it into products that we sell our customers. We salvage wood, repurpose it, make it into something beautiful. Much of what we sell is made from buildings that were over 100 years old.
