My name is Joanna Krause and I'm the creator of Agave Designs. I grew up in the States but I have lived in Norway for the last 13 years. I love the States, but Norway is definitely my home for now. Agave Designs was created to be a creative outlet for me, but also a way to help support a local NGO here in Kristiansand Norway that helps exploited women. It started with a simple question... What can my hands and heart give to the ones that need it the most? How do I give a voice to the suffering ones and respond with beauty, value and dignity? Human trafficking has always been something that is heavy on my heart. It is literally a problem effecting every community. I realised that I can’t fix the world but I can start small by helping in my own home town. So this is why our motto is Women Helping Women. Agave Designs has beautiful unique jewellery to help women feel beautiful and encouraged and then it has a ripple effect of helping women in our community that need it the most. I've shipped to 13 different countries and 13 different states, and can't wait to add more to my list!
