About W.H.I.M. Pottery

OUR POTTERY is featured on the TV show FIXER UPPER! Due to Faire - A gift shop called The Carpenters Daughter in Waco, Texas purchased several variations of our pottery. Our White wavy rimmed bud vases and our colorful trinket bowls were featured in the first two minutes of Episode 3 of Fixer Upper (the newest Mountain Series aired Dec 2025). A few years ago, our family of three took a ski trip to Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah. Spoiler: we were terrible at skiing, but we fell in love with pottery during one of the resort’s offered art classes. When we returned home, the world had changed—COVID-19 had shut everything down. To keep our 10-year-old son, Parker, busy in this strange thing called isolation, we bought a $99 pottery wheel and a brick of clay. What started as a simple way to pass time turned into something much bigger. Without the ability for a big birthday bash for my husband's 50th, we instead took the plunge and bought a kiln, sparking a journey that became something much bigger. W.H.I.M. has two meanings: Parker, our son who inspired it, and our faith, which quietly guides us. Pottery has taught us about resilience, creativity, and the therapeutic power of art—lessons we now love sharing with others. Many of our pieces feature a cross, a nod to the faith that shapes everything we do. With Him In Mind was born from those moments—creativity, resilience, and family, all shaped by a wheel.
