Inspired by the design of the historic “Zillertaler Doggln”, which, like so many good things, were created out of necessity, we set out to find a way to make this shoe, usually only worn as slippers, suitable for everyday use and to give it a visual refresh. Back then, these shoes were still made from old and worthless scraps of fabric. But in the meantime, they have achieved real cult status in some regions. However, the problem remained the same: you can't leave the house with these shoes - neither functional nor design-wise. The first changes were obvious: it would have to be a waterproof sole and bright, modern colors. Thanks to the sole, which is made of EVA and rubber, you can leave the house with peace of mind without having to fear wet feet right away. In addition, modern fabrics are both odourless and more air-permeable than fabric remnants that have been processed into felt.Read their story
