My name is Baileigh, and I am the founder of Ro's Candles. Here is the story of how Ro's Candles came to be: After my husband and I got married we wanted to start a family right away. Unfortunately getting pregnant quick was not in our future. It took almost 2 years, countless tests and fertility treatment for me to get pregnant with our first child, Rowan. After Rowan was born we had an almost 4 week stay in the NICU while amazing doctors and nurses tried to figure out why her muscle tone was low and her lungs weren't keeping up. We got to go home, but then had another year of countless doctors appointments, physical therapy appointments, tests and more for us to learn that Rowan was just a little behind when she was born. Our story is a very happy one, but there were many ups and downs along the way. After Rowan was born I did not put a focus on my own healing and self-care and I wanted to start a company and product that would help hopeful parents, parents-to-be, new parents or anyone who wants to take the time they need to de-stress. Plus, for each candle purchased we will donate 5% of the revenue to Hand to Hold, a charity focused on supporting NICU families before, during and after their NICU stay.
