About Winter Jay jewellery

Back in 2021, I started my first jewellery businesses. I’d never even made a piece jewellery before that. It all started 19 days into the new year, when I fell off of the mezzanine in my flat making my bed (how embarrassing!) I ended up breaking my back and from that I lost my job. I had to at 26 move back home so that I could get help and recover. A few weeks later my mums birthday was coming up, and I’ve always been a proud gifter, but I literally had no money and no income. I was so stressed about what I could do for her birthday. I remember she mentioned a few years back how she really wanted one of those necklaces that you have made out of a loved ones ashes. A light bulb went off in my head and I though ‘I’m pretty crafty, I’m sure I could make that’. So, I brought the cheapest resin kit I could find on line. My then boyfriend at the time wheeled me up to my uncles house, I grabbed some of my Nans ashes and I got to work. I started thinking, why on earth does birthday or other gifting occasions have to break the bank. I wonder how many other people were in the same boat as me, stressing over finding a present. So, I started ,y own little jewellery company, trying my hardest to make it not only super affordable but to also give it a luxury feel. Winter Jay Jewellery was born!
