About Rocky Mountain Leashes

Rocky Mountain Leashes was inspired by many different factors. My dad had a career with the National Park Service and growing up our family lived in some of the most beautiful National Parks including Sequioa, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Mesa Verde and Joshua Tree. We all inherited his love for the beautiful outdoors and his love for all animals, but especially his faithful dogs. I moved Telluride, Colorado in 1981 and after many years have resettled in nearby Montrose. My idea of starting a dog leash and accessory business came from not being able to find exactly what I was looking for our boy Charlie. I wanted something that was both fun and durable. After a lot of research, I found the strongest materials that are made here in the United States, and I began coming up with ideas. Loving the outdoors, dogs and always wanting to be creating something new this business was born. Knowing that each dog and dog parent is unique, and each has their own personality, we strive to offer many styles to accommodate everyone.
