You could say I was always drawn to adhesives... and drawn to, well, drawing. When I wasn't busy plastering every surface in my childhood home with stickers, I was drawing, doing crafts, or designing printable greeting cards on the family computer. In my tweens, I got my hands on one of those little x-shaped "sticker makers" where you cut out designs by hand and pull them through a slot to add adhesive backing. In 2021, I started my Etsy shop, which was a small runaway success and eventually allowed me to leave a job in retail that had been exacerbating my chronic pain for years. I'm the kind of person who wants everything I own to be cute and pretty. Everything must be decorated. I run washi tape along the fronts of my bookshelves. If there aren't any pretty tissue boxes at the store, I'll supply a pretty one I already have with new tissues from a boring box. I just pop open the side and then glue it shut. (You can just do that. No one can stop you!) I want to surround myself with things that make me happy. Stickers are one small way of accomplishing that. I think they're a bit magical that way. My stickers are all handmade and quality-checked in small batches, in my own home. For the moment, it's a one-woman show. I draw the designs, I make the stickers, I handle my own packaging, product photography, graphic design, accounting and marketing. It's a lot of work, and I love it. I work very hard, and I'm also very lucky to be doing exactly the kind of work I want to do.Read their story
