I am Mrs. Wubayehu SHIFERAW ep. BESSE. I am 36 years old. I am passionate about leather and I created my brand “Marc Philippe Design” in honor of my 2 year old son. “Marc Philippe Design” leather goods and genuine leather clothing. The entire production of a high quality level is made exclusively by hand, with the greatest care, by our experienced artisans from leather from animals living in the mountains. The leather used is meticulously selected for its luxurious texture, exceptional durability and its ability to improve in beauty over time. Each seam is handmade with precision, showing a particular and sustained attention to detail. A/ Animals are not specifically raised for leather, skin is recovered only when animals are slaughtered for meat consumption and therefore comes from the part called “food waste”. B/ The animals are not in an intensive breeding situation but are raised in freedom. C/ Local semi-vegetable tanning is ISO environment certified, which greatly contributes to compliance with the most rigorous standards in terms of respect for the environment and animal causes. D/ The local workforce is employed in dignified conditions and receives a fair salary. E/ “Fast fashion” has no place in our conception of the use of leather. Read their story
