About Flounce & Flourish

As a child, I was always in trouble for doodling. I doodled in class, all over notebooks, clothes—everything! I remember in middle school, I came home in a brand new pair of flared jeans covered in doodles—much to my mother's dismay (although I thought they looked pretty cool). I followed my passion for drawing at the University of Minnesota where I graduated with my BA in studio art. My doodling has evolved and continues today as I create art for stationery, gifts, and home decor. My art is often influenced by my love for gardening and nature. I've never met a peony I didn't like. I love to grow my own flowers, protect the pollinators, and explore the many lakes surrounding my Minnesota home. I believe beauty is more than aesthetics. True beauty comes from living a life that’s true to ourselves. And when your home or personal style doesn’t reflect who you are, your whole world can feel out of sync.
