Our mission is to reuse materials, give a new story to objects that are no longer used. The potential of this mission lies in the fact that we have houses all over the world full of things collected in a serial way. Things that we want to free ourselves from sooner or later. Removal and destruction usually costs a lot of money and used materials and objects are often thrown away while they are still in good condition. In our studio, we want to breathe new life into these materials and turn them into new and beautiful products. This process is called “upcycling,” which is the post-recycling phase. “Upcycling” is synonymous with creative recycling! When “upcycling”, used objects receive a different destination than the original ones, so they have a much higher value than before. The material that is mainly used in the workshop is wood. Wood is a living material that, despite its stubbornness, is very easy to work with. In Seconda Vita's workshop, Upcycled, furniture, accessories and home decorations are made with materials found here and there. Materials such as wooden pallets, scaffolding wood, wood waste, pieces of dried grape branches, cutlery, ladles, glass bottles, belts, jeans, bicycles, chandeliers, doors, corks and many other materials that are no longer used.
