HOW IT ALL BEGAN It all started in the Spring of 2004 with founder Dana Lande's jewelry design hobby. While completing her MBA at the University of Maryland's Smith School of Business, Dana was motivated to turn her pastime into a business. Her future was settled when she created University of Maryland Terrapin jewelry as graduation gifts for her fellow classmates. An instant success, the collegiate division was born and soon expanded to sell mascot jewelry to universities nationwide. JEWELRY WITH PURPOSE Since starting the company, Dana has remained true to the mission of designing attractive yet affordable jewelry made from real materials.
