How She-Crabby Was Born In 2013, I got sober and began searching for purpose and stability. That journey led me to Tarrant’s West in 2015, where I started as catering manager and eventually became General Manager. Along the way, Liz (the owner) and I—both strong-willed and a little crabby—learned that our differences made us stronger. Our partnership, built on grit and a shared love of great food, became the foundation for She-Crabby. In 2022, after attending a Women in Business conference, I was asked: What’s the one thing people always come back for? The answer was easy—our She-Crab Soup. Tarrant’s #1 seller for years, it inspired us to bring that same rich, coastal flavor beyond the restaurant. After perfecting the recipe for retail and meeting food safety and sustainability standards, She-Crabby was born.
