My name’s Carlee and this little venture is a dream come true. For as long as I can remember I’ve loved spoiling friends and family — there’s a real buzz you get from making your loved ones feel special. I’ve always dreamt of creating a space where I could help other people do the same thing. 2020 forced us all to slow down and take stock of what’s really important to us — there was a palpable sense of community spirit in my leafy little hometown, with people sending care packages, paying it forward and really looking out for each other. This spirit was the inspiration for Down Evelyn Lane. What started as a creative outlet soon gathered momentum, and before I knew it my hobby of pouring candles and sharing crafty ideas on social media became something more. I wanted to create beautiful things in our home for other people to enjoy in theirs. I wanted to offer people a unique and personalised gifting experience with a distinctly human touch. Everything in our product range, from the soy candles through to essential oil rollers and mists, is lovingly handmade in our very own studio.Read their story
