The Paint Factory We didn't come to this from house paint. We came to it from pigment. Since 1994 we've made acrylic colour in Kingston, Ontario for painters who notice everything: whether a black is warm or cold, how a red shifts as it dries, what a wall does at four in the afternoon in February. Artists are the most demanding colour customers there are. They've kept us honest for thirty years. The Paint Factory is what happens when you turn that toward a wall. Same pigments we grind for artists. Same mill, taken finer than architectural paint needs to go, because a finely dispersed pigment doesn't just sit on a surface, it holds light differently. Made in small batches, in one building, by people who have been doing this a long time. Sixteen colours. Not sixteen hundred.
