About Rachel Hunt Illustration

Rachel is a qualified architect. She worked in practice for a number of years before embarking upon a career in illustration after being shortlisted for the Serco Prize for Illustration in 2014. Since then, her work has been featured in various publications, including the official Tower Bridge guidebook, and is sold in a selection of independent galleries. Rachel’s background in architecture has influenced her artistic style and subject matter. Her bold, minimal style seeks to pare a subject down to its essence and accentuate the simplicity of a form. Rachel illustrated The Boat Race for an exhibition on the History of Rowing in Putney. It was this that captured her interest in the sport. Subsequently, her rowing illustrations have gained her several prominent commissions, including the official poster for Henley Royal Regatta 2019 and the official artwork for The Boat Race 2022 & 2023. Her work, ‘The Victors and The Vanquished’ was longlisted for the World Illustration Awards 2020. Read their story
