For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved to write things down to remain organized. I naturally gravitated towards using day planners. The problem was, most planners that I found just focused on getting through the day; a total lack of focusing on the bigger picture, “Why/How am I getting though the day?” Eventually, I tried to make a vision board, but found making multiple major changes in my life at once, overwhelming. My need to stay organized increased even more following the birth of my daughter who became special needs. I gave up my career in finance to become a stay-at-home mom so I could become her primary caregiver. After years of being an amazing caregiver for my daughter, I realized that I was not taking care of myself. I began journaling, morning brain dumps, daily affirmations, and nightly reflections; everything that I’ve incorporated in my journal. My hope is that my journal helps you to place yourself as a priority, discover your purpose, and “Find Your Light That Shines Within.” Read their story
