About Artwhos

Artwhos (whose real name is Jules Garin), is a Parisian painter from Guadeloupe. He has been drawing from an early age, a self-taught apprenticeship that goes through “doing it” and inspired by his mother, also a painter, and an uncle artist who will become his model. Attached to sneakers, he will try his hand at customizing a Nike Air Force, which will be a success. He will then be encouraged by his brothers to follow this path, until he reaches pairs of custom shoes for footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and rapper Booba. Then he will customize jackets for Fianso, Gims or rapper Seth Gueko. It is pop culture that Artwhos is inspired by. Marvel heroes, the manga universe or the Star Wars saga. At the same time, it shapes personal work, more abstract and more spontaneous. Of the tables that he runs, after having “observed a lot” he explains. Taking time, watching, contemplating the reflections of the sun are the first fruits of the action of painting.
