Zumki is an extraordinary brand dedicated to celebrating the rich handicrafts and skilled artisans hailing from various Southeast Asian regions. Our mission is to merge the time-honored techniques of local craftsmen with contemporary and innovative designs, thereby ensuring that their remarkable creations are accessible and practical. At the heart of Zumki lies a remarkable story of empowerment and collaboration. Founded and led by a dynamic mother and daughter team, both Tibetan refugees who found a new home in Nepal and later immigrated to the United States, we have united our unique strengths to establish a brand that showcases the extraordinary talents of artists we encountered throughout our diverse journeys. The brand itself takes its name from my mother, who has accumulated over 25 years of experience in entrepreneurship and has continually adapted and evolved her business to align with the demands of the modern market and discerning consumers.
