In 2018, 10 month old Charlie slipped his collar when he spotted a wallaby. The chase was on and within 3 bounds Charlie found himself flying off a cliff. After a 40metre fall (yes 40m!) Charlie found himself perched on a comfortable shrub that had broken his fall at the very bottom. With a snapped vertabrae, a missing tooth and a 2 hour rescue he was rushed in for life saving surgery. With only a 25% chance of survival we prepared for the worse. Charlie came out of a 3 hour surgery with a rod in his back, 16 stitches, concrete and pins holding his spine together and a long journey of rehab ahead of him... he survived!! Charlie endured 6 weeks in a cage while he healed and fortnightly rebab until this day. This strong inspirational guy didn't give up and neither did we. His story went viral as we started an awareness for safety at heights and around wild animals aswell as assisting others with what to expect after life saving surgery and how to deal with the trauma that goes with it meeting lots of amazing supportive people along the way He was nicknamed Super Charlie - The Flying Dog To heal he needed lots of care, good nutrition & lots of Love. We started cooking and baking using the goodness of organic ingredients and packing them full of goodness to help with his recovery... plus! he though they were delicious!!
