"ALIS" Latin for Wings We're inspired by the motto "Alis volat propriis," which means "She flies with her own wings." We are a fitness apparel manufacturer, wholesaler, and retail/online store. We are passionate about comfort, fashion, and making people happy. I’m Marcela Nery a lawyer who quit her practicing to pursue a dream of making exclusive gym clothes that can fit great and also feels comfortable. My idea was always to have clothes that I could easily go from the gym to my daily routine without feeling out of place or sweaty. As a business owner, manufacturer, retailer, and mother, I’m always on the move, like many women, so my goal is to provide clothes that can make our life easier, making us feel good about ourselves, and also contribute to giving our bests when we workout. I ‘ve been in business since 2012, when I opened the company Let it Fit Activewear in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We soon started working with private label for other brands in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the UK. After being constantly asked to provide more products in the US market, we decided to create an American company to stay closer to our main clients. In 2018, Alis Sportswear LLC was born.
