In 2015, Beatrice retired from her full-time job in the steel mills of Northwest Indiana. She spoke to her daughter (Flo) about wanting to do more sewing, as she was once a seamstress for a living...before the family and kids and career. She used to sew for a living...and she LOVED IT! Flo took that idea and knew it would be impossible to sell only hand sewn items and turn a profit. If it was going to be a family business, it needed to be worth the effort and money and sweat equity they put into it. Flo mentioned the idea to her cousin (Mia), and put some feelers out to see what women in her area (Huntsville, Alabama) wanted to see in clothing. 90% of those women wanted to see more cute, sexy, fun fashions offered for plus size women. The trio then took their Midwestern vibe and paired it with the good ole feel of down south. With that, Too Chic was born...first as an online-only entity, then the boutique element in other stores, then its own brick and mortar location. The focus has remained the same. We offer tons of items, with a focus on plus size fashions for the everyday woman. Read their story
