At the time, my husband and I were selling our home without a realtor so I wanted to create something special for the buyer. After sharing with friends that I painted our home, many of them asked if I would paint theirs too. I realized that I could create a business doing home portraits, and that I did! As B&L continued to grow, I began adding other subjects to my portraits such as people, places (like restaurants or churches), and pets. These custom portraits were all I focused on until 2023 when I began printing my art on items. I realized that I had a passion for not only creating art, but putting my art on things that people would use every day. As I increased my product inventory, I began creating carefully curated collections while still doing some commissioned portraits along the way. In 2025, B&L is now focused on creating quality products with unique, hand-painted designs that you won't find anywhere else. Thanks for learning more about my passion and business.
