About Kasey Jean Leather Designs

Being around horses for most of my childhood, I was always around beautiful leatherwork. Learning how to make it myself was something I knew I had to do! At 16, I found a local boot maker who was willing to teach me the basics and leatherwork quickly grew into a passion for me. Over the years I’ve made earrings, belts, wallets, wedding bouquet wraps, watch bands, portfolio covers, shoes and more. Nearly any request for a custom piece that came my way, I would accept! I’ve worked out of my parents garage, a spare room in our house and taken over the kitchen table with building pieces throughout the years. Fast forward, I now have a commercial space in Prineville, Oregon with 3 different sewing machines, plenty of work space and an online course where I teach others leatherwork. The finished pieces you see, always started by being hand sketched, hand carved with a swivel knife and various tools to bring them to life. Very recently I also started to add laser engraved pieces to our lineup as well. Still a Kasey Jean Leather Designs sketch, made with the same high quality genuine leather and hardware as our tooled pieces, at a lower price point. While the main branch of Kasey Jean Leather Designs is to bring customers visions to life through custom work, wholesale is an equally valued part of our business.
